They provide leadership in organizing and directing a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports/recreation, large and small group activities, science, drama, and field trips. Recreation Aide works with volunteers to ensure children are supervised and nurtured in a safe, caring environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Function:
The Executive Director of FCAC is responsible for the general operation of FCAC and ensuring that the mission of FCAC is implemented.

Accountable To:
Executive Director reports directly to the Organizational President and the house Development Corporation Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:
• Initiates the development and on-going implementation of a strategic plan for FCAC staff and board.
• Serves as primary external liaison to the public specifically to actual and potential funding sources, media and public officials.
• Directs the development and implementation of fundraising strategies.
• Develops and administers annual budget.
• Directs the financial management of FCAC including the general audit.
• Collaborates with the President, Program Manager and staff to design the public programming of FCAC.
• Develops collaborations and partnerships with existing community based organizations such as public schools, faith-based agencies, social services, governmental and other key sources outside of North and South Lawndale areas.
• Develops and oversees the implementation of FCAC's public relations plan.
• Hires, evaluates and terminates administrative and supervises staff.
• Oversees all personnel related activities including; personnel record keeping and policies; hiring of other staff; and the evaluation of staff.
• Oversees all programming services to the public and day to day operation of the facility and staff.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the President and Board of Directors.

Qualifications:
Must be willing to reside within North Lawndale community, three to five years of organizational management, a college degree with a focus on either education, business or administrative skills, requires excellent communication and writing skills, understanding of proposal development and be willing to work a flexible schedule with hours varying from week to week.

UrbanPromise Ministries is looking to hire a passionate and experienced individual for a full-time position directing an AfterSchool Program and Summer Camp beginning in mid-June, 2008. This person would organize, direct and manage a Christian faith-based AfterSchool Program and Summer Camp for 1st to 4th graders or 5th to 8th graders within a local community in Camden, NJ.

Position responsibilities include:
• Creating and maintaining positive relationships with kids, their families and the community both during and outside of AfterSchool Program (ASP) hours.
• Managing and equipping interns and local teens (StreetLeaders) in serving children. Assigning responsibilities to interns and StreetLeaders, with the help of the intern and StreetLeader staff.
• Creating and upholding the spiritual atmosphere by being a spiritual leader for kids, staff and StreetLeaders and providing Christian teachings.
• Providing and leading implementation of a discipline structure within UP guidelines. Assisting interns and StreetLeaders in carrying out discipline procedures.
• Assisting in the creation and implementation of ASP and camp structure, curriculum, guidelines and expectations.
• Assisting in running special events - Intern and SL orientations, retreats, sports leagues, All-Camp Day, MLK Speech Contest, Harvest Carnival, etc...
• Maintaining program records (emergency contact info, attendance, report cards, etc.)
• Completing CDL training and transporting kids.

Part time Female Program Facilitator
This federally funded program operates in a local high schoool in Chicago. Our role is to teach high school-aged youth the necessary life skills and character development for survival now and success later. We provide three different programs to the school. Sister, Sister and BrotherHood which are after school programs and Elevate, a program provided during the school day to teens chosen by the administration as needing extra attention and guidance. We currently serve abour 50 students through small group instruction.

The position of female facilitator includes facilitating and teaching in small group settings at the school. We also believe in the benefit of "doing life" with these youth and provide mentoring for them as well. Each week, the students are invited to a staff members home for dinner and games. Ordinarily about 16 show up.

Currently the position is part time and pays $15,000.

Requirements:
Must be at least 22 years old.
Must have a flexible schedule.
Must have experience working with urban, inner city youth.
Must have a car to transport youth.
Must have some experience with administrative duties.
Must have the ability to work as a team.
Must have a teachable spirit.

Summer KidWorks Urban Project:
The program is an intensive immersion experience available to college students and young adults for a period of six weeks in the summer. The project includes living in intentional Christian community with other students and examining issues such as justice, poverty, racial identity and reconciliation, and how God's heart is at the core of these issues. The team of interns will be facilitating our summer Day Camp for children K-5th Grade, working alongside suburban church partners, and participating in the discipleship of indigenous youth leaders in the community. At the same time, our interns will be living in the neighborhood as we emphasize incarnational and relational ministry. Assistant Youth Center Manager
Our organization is a Christian non-profit. We are looking for a person who is called to minister to Native American youth. Our youth center works hard to bring hope and healing to youth and families on the reservations.

The Warm Springs reservation is in a rural area near Bend in the high desert of central Oregon. Most employees find housing in Madras, OR which is the closest town (15 minutes away from the youth center). The cost of living is pretty reasonable in this area. Activities such as hiking, biking, climbing, rafting, all snow sports etc. are plentiful in the beautiful Bend/Mt. Bachelor area. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday afternoons and evenings with Sunday and Mondays off.

The person selected for this position could be male or female but would need to be a mature, faithful Christ-follower who feels comfortable giving short talks in front of groups, ministering and counseling with individual youth and implementing our programming in the areas of art, music, dance (including hip-hop).

Previous experience working with disadvantaged youth and Biblical training are desired. A long-term committment (one year or more) is expected.

This position offers a great opportunity for relational ministry and the chance to serve in a community that has a great deal of need.

We're looking for a LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TEACHER to instruct and provide oversight of high school students within a mentoring capacity that promotes and builds healthy and purposeful relationships. It is important that this individual possesses strong communication and relational skills. This position is year-round and averages 20 hours per week, with the possibility for more hours on weekends and in the summer. A typical schedule will be Tuesday - Friday, from 3:00 pm until 7:15 pm, except on Wednesdays, which will start at 12:00 noon. The Leadership Development Teacher will also work additional hours to attend retreats and field trips associated with the L.I.T and Pre-L.I.T. Programs or to supervise students who are working during weekend events. Hourly rates for this position are between $8 and $10 an hour.
