how to subscribe
Please follow these easy directions to subscribe to one of our podcasts using iTunes. If something is still unclear after you subscribe or you want to give us feedback, please let us know through the form at the end of this page.
STEP ONE: On our site, we have a link to each podcast's location on iTunes at the bottom of each podcast's page (UYWI07 Audio, UYWI07 Video). After you "click the link", your computer will attempt to open iTunes (assuming it's not already open). If you're not using Firefox (or other Mozilla product) as your browser, you may be able to skip step 2.
STEP TWO: If you're using Firefox, you will get a dialog like shown above, letting you know that an external application (in this case iTunes) will need launched to handle the link. Click "launch application" to continue.
STEP THREE: iTunes opens the podcast right up, showing you artwork, description and reviews. At the bottom of the window, you'll see each episode, listed from most recent to least recent. If you click "Get Episode" for any of these, it will only download an episode and not subscribe you.
To subscribe, click the "subscribe" button near the podcast artwork (located beside the word "free"). Once you subscribe, only the most recent episode will download, (with subsequent episodes as they are posted). You will have to click the "get episodes" button for each earlier episode you would like on your PC.
If you ever want to unsubscribe, just click the "podcast" listing in the left column. Find the podcast you want to unsubscribe from, click on it once to select it, and click the "Unsubscribe" button in the bottom left of the iTunes window.
STEP FOUR: To play what you've downloaded, double-click on an episode. If it's a video podcast, you can click the image on the bottom left to open it in it's own window. If you'd like to make it larger or smaller, you can right-click (control-click, for a Mac) and pick the size you'd like to watch it in.
